Hey Rapids! My name is Coach Tommy, I’ve been coaching and swimming for the last 14 years and am excited to be joining the team this year. I’ve swam at Swim Atlanta since 2014, and before that with the Fighting Fish team in Singapore. As for the future, I’m attending George Washington University in the fall where I hope to continue to study journalism and business, as well as keep up with my swimming career. My favorite events are the 200 Fly, 200IM, and 100 Breastroke.
My time coaching at Aqua-Tots gave me a passion for enforcing safety while letting everyone learn important swim and life skills and keeping it fun too! I also work as the pool manager and lifeguard at the Roswell Park Pool, so I’m always around. I’m looking forward to a great season with everyone, especially fun Fridays!

Hey Guys I’m Mariam, I have been swimming since I was three and started swimming competitively when I was five. I began swimming year around six years ago and moved to my current club team, Swim Atlanta, five years ago.
I am the current Head Swim Coach for the Alpharetta YMCA. I have been an assistant/volunteer coach for four years with the Roswell Rapids. I am a lifeguard and swim instructor currently with the YMCA. I have been teaching private lessons way before I started coaching. I have sent many of my swimmers to states and finals on all teams I have coached on.
I swam with my high school varsity team right before COVID happened. My best and favorite events are the 50,100,200, and 500 free as well as the 50 and 100 back. I enjoy coaching and hope to one day be able to start my own swim team and swim school. I want to create a positive enviorment where all swimmers can feel good about themselves while always making sure everyone is having fun and working hard.

This is Alex's 10th year with the Rapids and her 6th year coaching. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor's in Biology with a research interest in ecology, and she has recently graduated from her sorority. She has a great passion for the environment and loves doing just about anything outdoors, especially when it involves being in the water. Alex is incredibly excited to return for the season and is looking forward to seeing all our new and returning swimmers!

Simon is a rising senior at Roswell High School. He began swimming with the Rapids in 2012 when he was 6 years old, and this will be his 10th season with the team, as well as his 2nd year as a coach. He swam varsity for Roswell High School the past 3 years, plays Water Polo with North Springs High School, and was a captain for the fall 2021 season. He is also a lifeguard at the Roswell Adult Aquatic Center. He's looking forward to summer and a great swim season.
